Get Out the Vote: Virtual Campaign
During December 2020, the chapter ran a social media campaign that encouraged people to register and vote in Georgia’s run-off election. The campaign posts informed the public on what a run-off election was, who the candidates were for each political party, registration deadlines, how to request an absentee ballot, how to find an early voting location, what voter suppression looked like, and the overall importance of voting.
Voter Registration Drives
The chapter regularly hosts voter registration drives on Emory’s campus to help inform students about how important their voices and votes are during elections. During these drives, chapter members help students get registered to vote, and they help out-of-state students request absentee ballots.
