Budgeting with the BaDST

The women of Omicron Xi hosted a budgeting seminar and discussed what it means to have financial fortitude and plan for the future. Some of the content covered included creating budgets, different types of savings accounts, Roth IRA’s, and other general investments for establishing longevity.

Get That Bread: Summer Internship Panel and Resume Tips

The chapter hosted this event in collaboration with other organizations on Emory’s campus. This event featured a panel of students who had internships as Google content creators, research assistants in bioinformatics and anthropology, and as legal assistants. The chapter also shared resume enhancing tips to help Emory students secure internships for the summer.

Black Wall Street

Small Black business owners in the Emory community joined the chapter for a Question and Answer session on entrepreneurship. The discussion also included how businesses were started, what is needed to maintain the business, and lessons learned as a business owner. Tips were also shared by the business owners for students interested in future entrepreneurship.
